Day 12 AdvoCare 24 day Challenge update

 I am now on day 12 of the AdvoCare 24 Day Challenge. Halfway done and I am loving it. So, this was me on day 1...

Here are my day 11 stats:
Weight: 143.2 (-4lbs)
Waist: 34 1/2 (-3 1/2 inches)
Hips: 38 (-1 1/2 inches)
Neck: 12 1/2 (-1/2 inch)
Righ/Left thigh: 19/19 (-1 inch on each side)
Right/left calf: 12 1/2 / 12 (same)
Shoulders: 16 (same)
Right/left Arm: 10/10 (+1/2 in on right side. Yay!!)

The dreaded "before" pictures.

 When I started this blog I was super motivated but fell into the same old cycle. Get motivated, work out for a couple of months then stuff my face with chocolate (and pizza and taco bell and...) One day, I woke up and was just done. I was sick of my stomach problems, I was sick of being out of breath while running after my kids, I was sick of being ashamed of my body, and just being plain sick. I am taking it one day at a time now. Working on bettering myself and being a good example for my kids. This is a new beginning. Here are my before pictures and stats...

AdvoCare 24 Day Challenge.

 That's right ladies and gents! I am taking the plunge and today was my first day with the AdvoCare 24 Day Challenge. I am SO excited to have stumbled onto this amazing company (Thanks Nicole!) I haven't done my before pictures (I know. Shame, Shame!) but I did do my measurements. Which, by the way, was horrifying! To keep me accountable, tomorrow when I take my before pics I will post them on here along with my measurements. I am hoping it will go something like this...

 Okay, but in all seriousness, I am hoping to tone up and LOSE THE BELLY. Dear baby and bearded Jesus this belly has got to go!! I am also giving away a free box of SPARK! Life.

Life has gotten in the way of this wee little blog. The last month Bailey (our furbaby) broke her leg, tons of therapies and doc appointments (and hopefully diagnosis), sicknesses and two new ventures have happened. I am not going to lie and say I have stayed on the healthy train. I haven't. It has been hard, we are going through a rough patch over here to say the least and I have been eating my feelings. I haven't worked out in over two weeks due to being sick and taking care of sick kiddos. I miss it and I can't wait to start up again once I kick this strep. I hope y'all will stick with me. In the next couple of days I will be revealing my new ventures and there will be GIVE AWAYS!!

Today and Goals

Today I will work out. Today I will eat right. Today I will look at myself in the mirror and see my beauty not my flaws. Today I will set goals and work hard towards them.

2014 FITNESS GOALS:


  • Fit into my favorite pair of jeans (size 6)
  • Gain muscle
  • Wear a bikini and not be self conscious.
  • Try to eat paleo 90/10
  • Not beat myself up if I slip up. 
  • Be able to do a REAL push up.
  • Be able to do a pull up without help
These are my goals.

Falling off the wagon.

It has been almost 2 months since I dusted off my keyboard. And in that time I fell off the wagon. I fell HARD. Copious amounts of chocolate, soda and cheese were shoveled into my face. I am not proud of it. I am human. If this was last year (hell, even 6 months ago) I would give up and say "I've already ruined everything." But not this time. This time I have picked myself up, dusted it off and got back to working out. Ben and I started doing P90x. I am not a huge fan. It does work, I would just rather lift. Oh lordy, I never thought I would say that. I gained more motivation today when I took some progress pics. I  can do this. So can you.



We also just moved into a new house. I will give a house tour and updates as we fix stuff up. Stay tuned.
